Tank Crash

My year old reef tank crashed, I had a massive population explosion of flat worms, after a few months of trying to deal with these best I could they all died off within 2 days.

Then the water went almost orange in colour, and everything began to spiral out of control from there.

I've pulled out as much dead stuff as I can, looks like I'm going to have a 100% loss, question is where do I go from here ?

I'm at a loss at the moment as to what to do next, tank is very smelly & cloudy, I did a 30% water change today, and will do the same tomorrow, but I'm wondering if I should sit it out, or start taking all the live rock out, scrub and start again.

Any thoughts would be useful to me, as I'm sure there are other here who have had a tank crash, and got through it.

I really dont want to throw in the towl just yet, although I am devisated.

I would put livestock in fresh saltwater bucket with aeration/flow.
I would remove all water and put some new water (90% wc, remove dead flatworms)
Run massive carbon, 500gr maybe)

Once parameter are good, put the livestock back.
