tank list- still not sure

ok well im still not sure but i think i know what i want to have in my tank. I have a mh and a css65 and my tank is a 25gallon.
2 percula clown fish
1 RBTA
6 blue leg hermit crabs
2 scarlet hermit crabs
6 astrea snails
6 nassarius snails
2 cerith snails
1 emerald crab
1 Yasha Goby
1 Candy Stripe Pistol Shrimp
1 flame angle?
20# live rock
20# live sand

ya if i can keep them all together. the mh is 280w in all 175 mh

Aside from keeping the anemone that's alot of light and heat for a 25g tank. I probably would've looked at a less watt MH or T5's.

The flame angel might be pushing it for a 25g with two clowns.

That is a nice looking fixture, But I would still be looking alittle more closely at the T5 fixtures. Less energy consumption, lower initial price, less heat, longer bulb life, and more than enough light to keep anything you 25g tank F&S has a sale on sunlight fixtures.

ya i did look into that but i think that i like the mh lighting. do you think that my tank will get to hot. also what can i put for a cover that wont overheat the tank more

The fixture does have fans built in which should help, you may also try lifting the fixture off the tank alittle to let it breath. Nothing wrong with liking the MH I love the shimmer I get from mine but I also have a fan which blows air across the tanks surface between the light and water to control heat. If you get the MH fixture you should get the legs if they're available, and anticipate possibly adding some sort of clip on fan to help remove excess heat. Unfortunately you wont know until its running. Having a sump would help remove excess heat as well through added evaporation.

I wouldnt use a cover, it'll prevent evaporation which you'll need to counteract the heat generated by the MH light, and it'll also prevent proper gas exchange between the water and air.

Your stocking list isnt bad except you may want to leave out the flame angel. It might be one too many fish for that size tank.

ok i might leave the flame out. but i would like a cover cause i dont want jumping fish and it is my moms rule. what could i use.

If you're looking to prevent carpet surfing fish then you can use whats called eggcrate, or light diffuse panel. You can find it at home depot with the ceiling tiles and lighting.
