WOW ... I didn't recognize it was a tort . never saw one that big before .

Yeah it needs some serious fragging right now, have not done any since those pic were taken. I'm hoping to get to it very soon because some of the corals are starting to shade the others.

Can I ask as to make notes!
1. How much water do you change?
2. Schuran Jetstream 1 reactor is the the only way you keep your ALK up? I use two part additive now looking to see if reactor is the way to go.
3.What do you use to keep your Magnesium up?
4. What light you use to grow in refugium with chaetomorpha?
5. You do not use anything else to keep the nitrates and phosphates down? I use this what you use and can not get it down lower.

1. I try and change 10% a week(15gal)
2. Yes and two part is excellent also.
3. Nothing just change the water
4. It's a n:vision daylight 75watt spiral fuoresent bulb, but a lot of light is from the metal halide.
5. Phosban keeps the phosphates down and the cheato keeps the nitrates down, I also make sure I feed just enough to help keep the nitrates down(flake is good for this IMO) Also if you feed frozen make sure you rinse it first. All the food should be gone in 3 minutes or less.

WOW there is so much color! hay that Montipora trick is totally wicked. i think you should do it with other colors as well

Schuran Jetstream 1 reactor I see CO2 bottle how long does it last what system as meter and co2 control?
also how much refilling media the reactor use a year for cal?
I read you use no filters in sump when and how do you clean out the sump?

Yes just change water for the mag.
I use a m3 regulator and the 20lbs co2 tank lasts about 3 months. Not sure how much media I use a year but I usually change the media when I change the 20lbs tank.
I use no filters in the sump, the last time I cleaned my sump was about 3 years ago.
