I have a 72 bow front, and its pretty well set up. I was running a external can filter, untill it broke a few weeks back. My LFS said I can run my sys. with out external filter because I have lots of live rock(90lbs), and a hang-on skimmer. I just added a hang-on refugium with light. My question is should I pump up the flow of water to compensate for the loss of bio-filter. I lost a clam the other day and am woried that my LR is not doing the job(lots of debris setteling on LR).I am still some what of a rookie with reef tanks (1 yr experence)

what do you all have for water flow in the tank? you will want around 15x turnover min.

sounds to me like you have enough flow, maybe just set-it up differntly to re-direct the flow in different directions.
