Temp.?

What is the optimal temp. for a FOWLR system? I ask because I have always been told 80 - 82 , but I noticed on Dr. Foster & Smith they say 72- 78. I relize a constant temp. is very important, I was just curious about what temp. Any help is appreciated Thank You

I always shoot for 77 ---Plus or minus 2.

I target 82 for all my tanks, but I only keep tropical reef animals. There are temperate water animals for sale here and there (like the Catalina gobies) that require much cooler temperatures.

I have my heater come on at 80 and my fan comes on at 82. This keeps my tank at a constant temp.

Consistncy is most important, that being said I've personally felt a large difference between various parts of some reefs in the west pacific. I'm guessing about 7 degrees, but I didn't bring a thermometer.
