I have two 55 gal. tanks, I would like to add an external overflow to one of them. How can I tell if the glass is tempered, there are no stickers on the bottom to indicate that they are or are not. Thank you for your help!
55's are shakey on drilling ,,,most of them cant be drilled if im not mistaken ,,some one posted a chart a few months back on alot of tanks and if they are tempered ....just dont remember who it was
Bottoms are almost always the only tempered panels, the rest should be fine to drill. 55s are a no go on bottom drilling. Back should be fine though. Here's a chart of tanks and there respective tempered panels.
