Texas Size Mummy Eye Chalice

I've been debating a few names for this chalice, but I had a buddy come over last night, and suggest the name "Texas Size Mummy Eye". The base green color is similar to the other mummy eyes, but most of the eyes are much larger, except for the ones around the rim.
Just thought I would get your thoughts on the name and the chalice.

Ah ha there it is. I was wondering when you were going to post it Drew. I think people would be shocked at how big it actually is. Considering everybody only has frags of most echinos.

the only proble I have with the name is the use of Mummy Eye...that name has already been used, try to come up with something original, I know it's hard but it gets to be too much when there are 15 different Mummy Eye variations, I mean you can call it whatever you want don't get me wrong. I just think something original for it would serve it better, it's a gorgeous, gorgeous piece by all means so it should have an original name imo..something catchy but yet easily identifiable...ie.."Swamp Thing Enchino" or even "Zombie Eye Enchino" "Earth to Mars Enchino" "Land of the Rising Sun Chalice" "Toxic Pool Enchino" " Witches Brew Enchino" but seriously it's a beautiful piece call it whatever you want!!!

There is no trademark. If it's similar/same morph then same name is just fine. Take example, watermelon chalice, watermelon zoa, eagle eyes, etc.......... One guy grows out and pass on the other. This debate can go on forever.

Dig the name btw. :)

Kev,
I understand where you’re coming from, and I did consider multiple "out of the box" names. The reason I think the "Texas Size Mummy Eye" fits, is because it bares a striking resemblance to the way the mummy eyes grow, but the eye color and size is different. It also falls under the category of "reverse watermelon", and I was trying to stay away from using the name watermelon, talk about a name that's been thrown around a little to much. :) However, you did come up with some really cool names there, and I have another really pretty wild colony, that may be dubbed one of those names, because it doesn’t look like anything else I’ve seen.

Chris,
It does have some good size to it, minus a couple of pieces that are headed out in trades.

Klee,
Thanks for feedback. I think the name is kinda cool because it has a little bit of a rhyme to it.

you can call it whatever you want that's the beauty of it! and I understand why you would want to call it a ME becasue yes, it does look very similar, and you know what I'm saying in regards to that, I don't need to explain that to you...Either Way Congrats! it a marvelous piece!

How about the chicken pox chalice!?!
LMOA

I believe there is already a chicken pox chalice. If there's not, I know there is a favia for sure, but it's definately a possibility.

We just have dogs, so I guess i could have called it chocolate lab chalice, but I think that would have just confused people.;)

Double check what the "eyes" do in strong vs weak light. I have a chalice just like that, except reverse colors, and the eyes get very small in bright light, so naming it after the size of the eyes may not be the best. We named our "pink boobies" due to its shape. Perhaps you've got her long lost step-sister, green boobies :D

That's a very good point Peter. I'll keep an eye on how the eyes react to the different lighting as well as the different currents.
Green Boobies, kinda funny.
I've got another guy thinking I should call it Drew's Green Field Chalice. That's not bad either.
