Yep it was a great time, if I only could afford to work there. I think you all put up with a lot of stuff and everyone was more than friendly all day long. I wish I knew for sure but I think I got one of the wild collected corals because it was really nice sized and looked great it isn't looking very good in my tank I am just asking to try and figure out what I did. I keep my parameters pretty stable but I can't keep my ph any higher than 7.8 and it does drop to 7.5 sometimes at night do you think this could this be why?
We are happy to hear you had a great time during your visit. If you would like to PM or call us with what type of coral you received we can research the information regarding the coral for you.
The fluctuation in the pH level and the low pH can definitely cause the coral to become stressed. The changes in the pH may be caused by a deficiency of calcium, magnesium or alkalinity. Excess ammonia and/or nitrite resulting from a decaying animal, food or plant within the system as well as high nitrate levels can also cause the pH to fall.
If you would like to provide us with your exact water parameters we will be happy to assist you with how to control the pH levels in your aquarium.
