Thank you RC! QT in place for first fish.

I just got done setting up a QT tank with everything in place; hob filter, heater, thermometer, PVC elbow, air pump with stone, black background, ammonia badge and SG is 1.023. All my readings are zero so today I am going to get two fish to put in there. The LFS I am buying my fish from have theirs at 1.023 as well.

I wanted to say thank you to everyone on RC that helped me out with all my questions and coming along this far with my SW tank. With out the knowledge of RC I'm sure I would still be struggling getting this set up. I have an album created in my profile that has pictures of my progress from non-informative LFS to where my tank stands today. Again THANK YOU RC!!!

Wait is over!

Wait is over!

After a grueling period of a month my fish have finally made it to my DT tank:bounce3:. I was excited about this and even made a video of it lol. Again thank you everyone at RC for helping me out to become the aquariest I am trying to be by pointing me in the right direction. I will post photo's and try the video in my album under my profile. I will also do pictures in this thread as well.

good for you!!! i qt'ed everything that went into my dt, used the tank transfer method and then a few weeks of observation.

my only suggestion to you is this...i would extend the qt period to 6 weeks at the minimum. it looks like you went about a month between quarantine and moving to your display tank. another couple of weeks will give you better coverage as far as diseases showing up in your fish.

good luck, looks like you're well on your way!
