Thank you to LIRA & NERAC committee :)

cheers, my friends :)

I just wanted to offer my thanks for the fabulous hospitality of LIRA members and NERAC attendees. I've made a number of dear friends in the NY and LI area through the ears and it is always a great pleasure to visit.

But the show last weekend was special. The interaction with attendees was truly the definition of fellowship. They came, the learned, they comunicated and shared... and all I think must surely have benefitted by it.

And the way the speakers were treated was nothing short of friendship. Our new friends from Holland (aquarist Andre and speaker Ron Hessing) I think were truly impressed by the hospitality of your club during and outside of event times (Jim M as usual went above and beyond the call of duty in this regard... Eric and Simone too... many other folks).

As a hobby presenter/speaker, I can very much appreciate the efforts you have made... kudos to everyone that participated!!!

And all of this against the backdrop of Atlantis which still lays claim to having one of the most magnificent free-standing reef aquariums in the world... awesome. Simply awesome.

I am looking forward to coming as an attendee at least next year and will enjoy adding this to the list of must-attend events every year. Presuming y'all can sucker... er, convince Joe into tolerating us at his venue each year ;) :D

with kind regards to all,

Anthony

Hey and thank you Anthony for your visit and kind words, always good to have you around. With the good behaviour shown this year, we may not need the extra security next year :)

Not to steal your thread Ant but here is some feedback from the other speakers as well:

The following is from an email I received from Julian:
[/I] I sure enjoyed the conference. I will be happy to present again.
I wanted to mention that I was surprised at the fine quality of the food and the servers were all very friendly- little details like that make the experience so much better! [/I]

The following is from Ron Hessing:
Hello Joe,
I have to say that the boardmembers did a fine job in organising Nerac II and gave us great hospitality! Wow, what a great event!!
I am proud that I could make a contribution
The conference, the evening dinner at Saturday, meeting the members and the other speakers in that atmosphere was a great opportunity and worth while. The evening dinner with you, some members, Jim, Anthony, Eric and Simone was also very nice.
Atlantis is a world class facility and the staff and the volunteers make it superb! My special thanks goes out to Vinny Kreyling and his lovely wife, James Chou and to Jim More. He gave a tour to us and Anthony (what a great guy!) by the city on Monday.
You and the other boardmembers can be very proud to the club and making the event a success
Thank you very much!
Sincerely,
Ron Hessing

Yes, there will be a NERAC III in March 2007, exact date not set yet, but should know by the end of this month.

Hey Anthony, if I have any say (and I'm sure I dont) I would insist you return as a speaker. I have been to 2 other of your lectures and I can truly say this was the best. You should get commission from the red carpet guy because of you and only you, he sold it. There were people lined up to buy it after and during your lectures. Thanks

Anthony you were the inspiration behind mine and Warrens new endeavour. Im taking your advice on the red carpet and doing what you told me to do and im also starting to propogate RBTAs as well. Thanks for the lecture and advice given afterwards!

I was great meeting you. Sorry I could not stay to watch the "Whack-Up" of the toadstool. We have a few more in our propagation tanks and Dave wants me to be the designated moyel.

Come to think of it, your coral prop book is the reason Dave and I have 8 50 gal breeders in our warehouse. We don't really make any money from it but we get to meet intesesting people and get the satisfaction of being able to share our crop with the members of LIRA.

I can't wait till NERAC III.

Just make sure you give me a long enough warning... way before I decide travel to other exotic locations. :D :D

sanjay.

Thanks so much for coming Anthony!!! :D

Your talks are always so fun; you put a great sense of humor into a lot of information to make things educational and fun. :)

Lookin' forward to next year. ;)

Oh yeah - we're going to have to go over that whole auto top off thing again. :lmao: I got my new tank yesterday though. :)

SANJAY!
Hey Photon Man, leave March open and we'll be good. Right now tentative for March 10-11, awaiting final word from catering.
Better get that new tank going so you have something to talk about!
Joe

Thanks for your kind comments Anthony! Our club truly appreciates you and the other speakers attending our event.

I enjoyed being your assistant during the impromptu "frag workshop" we set up. Next year will you consider making that a session?

Regards,

--Dave--

I'm embarassed by the thanks (and to be treated so well!) to do the hobby things that we all want to do naturally :D But thank you so much :) The free beer at the end of the day is just icing on the cake ;)

Heehee... and no, no adderall/drugs... but indeed espresso beans occasionally. Ha! I must admit... my mania is natural and drug free. I'm just lucky and count it a blessing. 'Tis what allows me to read and write so much.

I read once that JFK was recorded (perhaps still is?) as the fastest speaking public speaker in the Guiness book of World Records. If only I could be a tiny fraction of his greatness and with such speed in getting information/ideas out of my mouth... :D
