The fuge is up - lighting hours?

I have just set up my CPR Aquafuge HOB on my 72 bow.
I also have the CPR 24W 7100K light. How many hours should I have it on? I have read that it should be on when the main lights are out?

That depends upon what type of Macro are you using? I personally run my fuge light for 13 hours a day. 1/2 hour before and after my VHO actinics turn on and off.

I will be using Chaeto.

Between 12-14 hours should suffice. That's the same macro I use. If you were using Caulerpa I suggest 24/7.

One more question, do you have any snails etc. in the fuge for cleanup?

Cheato here too, along with mangroves. Have some snails and hermits in there also. Lights are on about 12-12.5hrs/day.

Yes, I have 2 astrea snails, a couple scarlet hermits, 1 bristle star, 1 peppermint shrimp, along with tons of pods, ministars, etc.
