If those propellers you're using have the metal threading inserts, you will want to drill them out otherwise you risk them corroding and contaminating your tank. You wouldn't happen to know the picth of those would you?

Yes they have & yes I've been reading yours & all the other threads related since the beginning (just been held back by stone age mentality & lack of parts here in the UK:mad2: ). If only I could put all those ideas in my head in to reality instantly I would be ok lol
So I took out the brass inserts NOT by drilling (far to messy & risky) - I found a bolt of the same thread size & attached the propeller to it, then held it firmly with vice grips & heated gently on the stove (gas mark 5:lol: ) till the heat transfers to the plastic, then just get a second set of grips to remove the shaft (be quick or you "might" melt the propeller.
No idea about the pitch on the props but I will endeavor to find out for you, next time I go to the shop (if he knows lol)
