anyone else had issues with the airline tubing " coupling" ripping in half . any other options for this ? any ideas what would cause it . had it happen on a few of the larger dumas.

ive been messing with the 402 with very limited success. brand new 402 start up power is not their. it seems very sensitive to shaft dia. and length. i want big strems to put on a timers and the 402 has not worked that good for me. i pick up a 802 yesterday i wish i could find props localy, sometimes i hate waiting.

the 901 are now also called 110 maybe that helps.

What type of props did you try on the 402? I'm just curious because I'm considering picking one up to try this mod on..

..... Where as when I do the same with the "belled" housing .....
I'd be very interested to see this bell shaped housing you've come up with!

If you're using the blue airline tubing then that would explain why it's ripping apart. You should use good ole clear vinyl airline tubing.

That solved my problem, I was using the 2035, and a new mj1200, it wouldnt spin it consitently, I swapped it to a 1235, and all is good. Thanks :)

I was banging my head against the wall with this exact same problem, but on a MJ600. I stumbled on the solution when I discovered that a chipped 2035 worked *slightly* better than a pristine one. A little bit of prop-grinding with the Dremel and it works nicely. Now I just need to get the stopper working right...

These clowns use frames so IE can't pull out a decent link. Use FF and select 'This Frame ->Show Only This Frame' from the right click menu...

Then you can show us what you want to show us.

This could be interesting...

Socket-Weld x Socket-Weld American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) 9159K54 9.81
McMasters Part number 9159K54

I think this is a black 1.5" coupling from MCMaster...SHOULD fit 1.5" sch80 pipe.

For the Canadians out there I ordered props from a place out in PEI.

For the US guys remember that the prices will only look higher as they are in CDN funds.

Nice selection of Graupner props. I ordered a 4 blade prop to try on the Hagen 802.

I can't find any boat props on their website. Am I blind?

I think if you type in propeller to search it should find them

Did that. The search engine on their site sucks.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found them. I had to type in "boat prop"

The airline that I used is from Lee's if that helps any. And as someone once mentioned this already this flex airline actually hardens over time.
