The process begins...

I have live rock dominating a 33 long and most of a 30 gallon tank that must go. It must go to allow me to shut down the system, or to be bleached. Since it would not help others, its up for sale now.

I have 4 huge rubbermaid bins full of live rock that is dry and bleached. Much of it was sun bleached on the deck this past summer, others we chlorinated but so long ago you cannot tell the difference.

4.00 per lb for both. As it gets down a bit or there is less left that no one wants I may drop the price... or if someone wants to take the whole lot... we can talk. bring your own bins. I want mine back.

There are some very nice pieces here, some very large.

I have 3 @ 40# bags of carrib sea aragonite sea floor special, new in original bag. Currently selling for 35$ a bag from fosters. I paid 25 a bag several years ago on a trip up there. If you only want a single bag, 25... otherwise all 3 bags for 65.

I also have a bag and a half of the black Tahitian moon sand. 15$ for all of that. Sorry. I won't sell in part bags. I don't want it laying around.

I have some "experienced" but dry again washed southdown and live sand. About 4 gallons or more... 20$. Its in beautiful shape.

FREE: about 15 gallons of Kessler kids used aragonite gravel mixture. I intended on making some rock but never got to it. Washed and ready to go, dry... bring your own container, again, I want mine back.

Anyone interested in books or "CORAL" magazines should contact me. I will be amazoning them and you can likely pick them up for a song or get the complete collection from the first issue to last month... have not worked out a price yet, Don't want to break the set, and 5$ each seems steep, but lets talk if your interested.

More to come.

Call if you are vaguely interested. Number is in other thread about livestock. Replies online may happen but calls take precedent. Prices may fluctuate if you take other stuff too. Nothing is certain, and if your interested, call.

Jason

ps. Shutting down the filtration system. If anyone is interested in a 33, 55 fuge and an acrylic 27 gallon sump linked, call. I'm thinking about 150... includes plumbing and a few extras... lets talk.

calcium reactor by chance? and sorry to hear you leaving. good luck on future hobbies. Try paintball..

TC269, yes, never used home built with new solenoid and tank, and pump.

Call. don't know if your looking for parts or whole thing. I have 100 into the valve, 45 into the pump, 40 into the housing, fittings and media, and 50 into the tank and it's never been used. Lets talk.

Otherwise my brother will get the tank for his paintballing...

Replied to many others... but I have SOOO much stuff unless there are specific requests. ... Please do not hesitate to call. I could list stuff here all day and not scratch the surface. Stuff is already moving finding homes. Slowly...

Eric,

I have about 160 into it, I don't think I'm being unreasonable to get that back out of it.

It's an old but great condition Oceanic 90. 4' long, 24 wide, don't remember the height, want to say 28... but that seems wrong.

It's 1/2 thick glass, no center brace is needed on this one, so one light over the center will do. 2 strong men are needed to move this, meaning you and I cannot... bring your mom to help.

It is drilled 4 times in the BOTTOM. 2 in each of the back corners. To heck with "MEGA FLOW" from all glass... this is a MEGA X MEGA flow tank. I enlarged all the existing holes to fit my bulkheads. I didn't like the sissy 3/4" holes that were there.

Comes with 4 of my standard bulkheads, which you know is 20$ of the price. Those are brand new. I keep the bulkheads, but you have to go buy new ones for more that 5$ each... that didn't didn't seem fair.

Comes with the original stand but I don't use it as the holes don't line up from the stand and the tank any more. The stand was in poor shape when I got it and I have only used it to hold a 55 full of water. It's trustworthy, but YOU out of anyone here know how I like safety factor times 4 as a minimum... and when the tank is empty, I trust it. I have not had it full because there are no overflows in it yet. I have glass and your welcome to what ever you can use.... I'll show you my plans for the design... then your on your own.

Tank is available to the first person who actually comes and gets it.

About 1/2 of the live rock is remaining, or about 3 packed pails work or so... I'm guessing...

Much of the dry base/formerly wet rock is remaining.

Both are going quick. Call if you are interested.

2 bags of Aragonite sand are left.

Filtration system for the main system is spoken for, so is the pump.

4 @ 55 gallon tanks and one 33 are spoken for. So are 2/3 of the books.

STILL have alot of stuff here. I have 2 75 gallon tanks, drilled. One with a stand lights and hood, one without. To say lights understates whats here as there are halides, moon lights and actinics... was looking for about 125 for the tanks and will have to work thru the stands and hood as someone shows interest in the parts.

Multiple skimmers, wet dry filters, sumps, pumps, Aqua Controller 3 Pro and other materials to be posted soon. many people are calling before I get a chance to post it. THANK YOU so much, it would be tough to itemize it all out and type it out because of the volume of stuff that is here.

The best way to get a hold of me is still to call.

Jason

I was reminded by a reply this morning... while the Calcium reactor looks tall. IT CAN be shortened for about 5$ to any height and I will do that if someone wants.

The media would be dumped out, the acrylic tube cut, and a new collar put on. I have the tools and the glue yet to do this.

No charge for the labor, you just get the collar.

200$ for the calcium reactor. Brand new gas cylinder, brand new pump, brand new solenoid, brand new everything, never turned it on.

Mag 350 canister filters (2 avail) 20$ each. First person gets pick of extra parts. I may or may not have the original tube or draw canes.

Eheim auto fish feeder, 10$

15 gallon sump, with holder for filter sock and a top off valve (float valve) 25$ (Glass, drilled)

All glass Wet Dry (dual chamber) (mini skimmer and media compartment) Will add bio balls is want) 75$.

Bio Balls - if your using them, email me a quantity you want and I'll send you a price. I have about 30 gallons or so worth.

Iwauke 70 series pressur pump. Like new. 200$ Paif 400+ barely used.

Aragonite sand still left 25$ per bag, 2 bags left.

30 gallon tank only and rod-iron stand. 40$ (stand needs quick painting, but is fine)

75 gallon tanks. BLACK glass overflows. Return lines and drain lines drilled, 125 $ each. Currently ALREADY plumbed...with a SCWD on each tank. Call soon and get with plumbing and all you need to do is add a pump.

One has a stand and a hood. Will post more on that next time.

Rock still available.

Anyone who takes the live rock and the base rock I will not only work a better deal than 4$ per lb... but I have 2 buckets of salt for 25$ each. Will not sell salt until rock is gone, is incentive to by rock. I could sell salt for that price any day of the week.

Jason, I can't call right now - but I'll also take the fish feeder and a mag350 too when I come to pick up the tank.

I'll set those aside for you... not sure your gonna want that tank though... but saving it anyway. sorry, both 33's are spoken for. don't wait to long though. Bri Guy saw what I need to move and he's still in shock.

------------------------------

Also. Anyone familiar with that 30 gallon custom reef I was building... should call if they are interested. Otherwise I'm going to sell it on craigs list or something. 325 if you are from the club, 450 if your NOT. This one is something special and not of the norm... I'm sure Bri would agree.

Tank, stand, hood... no light. have lots of extras... but this one is special. materials cost 600... its all natural stone and built to last. It belongs in a high priced lawyers office or dentists office or something. Its not a pallet wood all glass aquarium stand. Drilled, black glass overflow. ALL CUSTOM. It needs to go quick before I change my mind and want to stay in.

I have parts and pieces to finish it... and will contract appropriatly to do so... otherwise... call if interested. It's not ceramic or man made tile, but natural tumbled stone.

Jason

Well, I'll look at the tank when I get there. I think that Holly and I are coming up either on Monday or Tuesday evening - that sound ok to you?

No issues as of yet, call when it gets closer though.

Posting tanks on craigs list and a few other forums this weekend. Anyone interested in the 75 gallon reef drilled tanks or the 90 gallon Oceanic should call soon.

75 gallon drilled tank X 2 - 125$ each
90 gallon Oceanic tank - drilled, 1/2" glass, no need for center brace, 160$
30 gallon tank only and metal stand for 40$
30 gallon Reef ready show tank as described above. 325... going going...
15 Sallon sump, filter sock top off valve... 25$

3 Skimmers...

Kent Tubo te, Turbo flotor and an older, but very well moded full acrylic model will have prices assigned tonight. Each comes with a pump.

Stand, light hood, lights in the hood, RODI and Resiviour are spoken for.

Jason

Kent nautilus te skimmer.
http://www.kentmarine.com/products/nautilus-sump-skimmer.htm
Made for tank volume of 300 gallons or there abouts.
This is the sump model
20722_600w600h.png

Comes with a MAG 7 pump and the eductor nozel for the skimmer
pm02512.jpg

135$

I did put a drain line on the skimmate cup because it worked so well I was always emptying it. This way it would flow into a gallon jug or bucket.

Aqua Medic Turboflotor 1000 Protein Skimmer
http://www.seaquestmarine.com/Aqua_Medic_Turboflotor_T_1000_Protein_Skimmer_p/am_t1000.htm
Made for tank volume up to and around 250 gallons.
This was a sump use skimmer.
standalone.jpg

Comes with a RIO 2500 pump that was outfitted with the needle wheel attachment for the foam fractionation.
To make this pump work for this application, the picture is useless, the strain guard is left off, so I'm not posting a photo of the pump. The pump does have the needed needle wheel impeller.

Skimmer and pump 90$

The last skimmer is a true original acrylic body skimmer that was one of the “Seaquest” professional series skimmers. No Joke, It says seaquest on the box flap - and no... it will not double as a submarine..... It was made by a company called Aquarium Innovations Inc. I cannot find them on the web, didn’t search hard and didn’t want to. Mostly because this skimmer is about 6 solid years old. It’s built like a tank and has never given me problems.
I have modified this skimmer successfully several times and can say that it did an alright job on my 150 gallon volume with the modifications.
Also a sump model skimmer
Filterpictforreef7846.jpg

This photo is outdated though.
I made 4 significant mods to this skimmer and they are as follows…
1) Added a MAG 3 pump with an adjustable bypass to fine tune the venture bubble and water volume. (Red faucet in photo)
2) Added a telescoping discharge that was above water level so that fluctuating sump level would not affect the performance. Removed old style adjustment nut and filter sponge because they impeded performance.
3) Added “Wet Neck” to the skimmer to wash skimmate away with waste RO water.
4) Modified the venturi to work more efficiently and redirected the nozzle more effectively.
This skimmer comes with a MAG 3 pump
This skimmer is a workhorse. It is rugged and very easy to dial in adjust with the modifications. All mods used standard pvc parts and are easily replaced or repaired if broken. While this skimmer lacked the ability to reach into the 200 gallon range, it performed well in the 100-150 range.
Price on this skimmer and pump is $110

Skimmer #3, the one for $110 is sold.
Sale pending on the Kent skimmer..

1 pail of live rock remains. (wet) need to shut the system down on firday... any one interested? There are still nice pieces there.

Also....
I have some very nice bleached coral skeletons, is there any interest there? I would hate to ship them as they would break, and with law changes they are not collecting and selling these like they used to. Some are quite large and would make a great display... wet or dry.

Let me know and I will post some nice pics.

AND no, before anyone asks... these wern't corals I killed. I bought the skeletons many years ago down south in a shop wiped out by Katrina....
