I think two or three shots usually does me pretty well! :) Not a big Vodka fan though. lol Seriously, what are you referring to? Good luck.

see i've read that article and honestly theres not a whole lot there...

the vodka method is basically a way of supplying a carbon source to promote bacterial growth so as they grow it removes excess phosphates and nitrogen.... im just trying to get more specifics on how to dose accurately... im getting that its the amount i mentioned 1/2 ml per 25 gallons of water volume daily until phosphates are 0 and then less to maintain it... i am also to understand that when the biomass grows it can be trapped in filter felt easier to remove it along with it being easier to skim out...

heres another idea that people are doing for a couple minutes a day.... im not sure how i feel about this...

Fine Bubble Flotation Filtration - During heavy pulse recirculation an air pump is turned on diffusing air near the pumps inlet for 2 ââ"šÂ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å“ (1 minute) periods. The air injection floods the tank with fine bubbles for a few minutes. The bubbles attach to floating waste particles and assist in floating out the waste and exporting it to the over flow weir. The fine bubbles also causes the SPS coral to release a lot of slime as the bubbles attach to it and floating it off.

Gee, it sounds like letting my topoff routine slip occasionally allowing air to get sucked into my return pumps might be helpful.

Yeah, yeah, I planned that!!!!
