I brought home a male blue throat trigger today. His name is Jeremiah. I'll get some pictures up later this weekend. He's a darn cool fish!

NICE! I've had a female since June! I LOVE her! Make sure you keep them well fed, if not I found out the hard way they like Xenia! she is the only reason I want to upgrade so I can keep her when she gets bigger! lots of personality! Great reef fish! never touched one of my shrimp, crabs, nothing!

Chris, I have a pair and they are great, mine eat tons of nori, Yes you heard right nori, they love the algae!
My pair breeds every month or so, they are amazing reef fishes, never bother anything exept when they are breeding they seem to be a little rough on each other (love bites)
Good luck

ohhh sweet!. didnt realize how many of you guys had them also.

The male is on my fish stocking list as well. cant wait to get him.

I always want one but everyone says that they will eat shrimps and I have a big collection off shrimps............

bluethroats are known to be the most timid of all the triggers in the family. actually pretty shy fish for a while. they usually will not do any harm as long as there fed well. ive read alot of threads, and theyve all been model citizens. im hoping i have the same luck, but its not guarenteed of course

hey chris, get your dad over there so you can borrow his camera again! loved the shots last time. i dont see too many good bluethroat pics

yes, I have some peppermints and a cleaner shrimp. I am not sure if I will have them much longer though. If they do get picked off I plan to get a long nose hawkfish.

lol those long nose hawkfish they are really shrimps killers,,, I see u don`t want shrimps anymore I can give u my trap u can catch them, u can sell then or just give to me :D

my trigger doesn't bother any of my shrimp...I have a skunk and red cleaner...several pepermint and I used to have a CB but thats now in my refugium...and mine doesnt bother any...so far! I have a small flame hawk too and havent even had any issues! If plans fall through to get me a bigger tank, I'll sell you my female! =) shed love a husband!! Nice lookin tank Chris!!! Lets see some full shots now! =)

Looks like my trigger doesn't like shrimp heads. I found a peppermint shrimp head (no body) a few days ago and I found a skunk cleaner head thsi morning. Looks like I'll be getting a long nose hawk in the near future.
