does it look like puffy spots or raised scales ? my perc gets these raised scale spots on it some times but they go away after a day or two . as far as what it is or what causes it im still trying to figure it out but it doesnt seem troubled by it . and as far as ich goes my yellow tang had a few small spots and i dosed the food with kent garlic and i also added wiess 's coral vital ( 1 table spoon w/ every water change for 3 weeks in a 65 gal ) and the 3 spots never got worse no other fish got ich and the ich went away after a month . the coral vital is supposed to help keep other tank mates from getting ich and it also has chelated ( pardon my spelling of chelated) copper that is reef safe and wont effect inverts.

thats just my 2 cents and what worked for me .

Another disease to consider is lymphocystis. This is a viral illness and is often induced by stressful situations. If this is what your fish has, you can expect the white lesions to increase to larger, cottony spots. This is best treated by minimizing stress and optimizing nutrition. If the spots remain very small, like grains of salt, then it's more likely ich. Either way, it's good that the fish is in quarantine. Keep us updated on the progress of those lesions.
