This just startes growing on my LR

I just wanted to see if anyone knew what it is and if it is beneficial or not. I don't think it's bad my water parameters are good, I kind of like it and have let it grow for a few weeks now.

i can't see it real well, but it looks like maybe some kind of <em>Sargassum</em>. if you want to unload some i will pay shipping.

i have some <em>Sargassum</em> that came with live rock. it has grown quite a bit and looks really cool--very dramatic and good for aquascaping.

eleodes : I think shipping live plants across the border would be more problems than it's worth, If you want to check into it I would be more than happy to send some to you.

cprowler- yes i think that it is a very nice <em>Sargassum</em>. you are probably right about shipping restrictions. if you can, it would be good to try to spread it around by sharing with your friends.

i have gotten the <em>Sargassum</em> in my tank to spread by breaking off branches and wedging into small holes in rock. with time, the pieces form new holdfasts.

yes It sure looks like Sargassum to me. Its actually quite a coveted algae
