This may be a dumb question, but....

I have a small Ritteri I've had for 4 months now and it doesn't seem to be growing at all. I feed it occasionally maybe once every week or a little less but dang if it's exactly the same size or almost seems a little smaller than when I got it 4 months ago. I previously had a Ritteri for over 5 years before losing it in Irma and had no problems getting it to size. This one looks a little different than the one I had and it's sure being stubborn growing !! Any suggestions? I have heard ones that look like this one don't grow and some lose their tentacles and they become nubs. Any ideas on this guy. It's giving me fits. I have a gigantea that I could literally see it getting bigger by the week. Not so much with this guy.

Do you feed your anemone? Do you have enough light for this type of anemone? I never had delicate anemone like this before so I don't have experience with it. Hope someone else can help.

Yes I feed it. It’s under Mitras 7206’s running at 150% which is more light than my other ritteri ever got. I have lots of experience with s. Gigantea, mertensii and ritteri. I just never had purchased the smaller dark ones with Pom-pom look (if that makes sense) this sucker just doesn’t want to grow like my other one !!

I only have experience with easier anemones like btas (crazy growers), haddoni, and condy so I really can't offer much help here. But your anemone looks healthy to me. Maybe this type is slow grower???

are there any other anemones in there? is it shrinking?

No other nems. However, I've kept Ritteri with s. Gigantea in a much smaller aquarium with no issues. No other nems this time. As far as shrinking. I haven't measured it, but it sure isn't growing. After 4-5 months it should be settled in I would assume. It hasn't moved/wandered around so that's a good sign. It is outwardly healthy other than the distinct lack of growth.
