Those w/ basement sumps

I am setting up a 100 gal stock tank in my basement. The question I have is in a tank 1lb of rock per gallon is recomended. Do I need to add another 100 lbs. of rock to the sump?

Nope, It's purely personal choice what you put in your sump, although if your not putting anything in your sump you can add a few pieces, for pods to hide in among other things.

well I'm going to put my cheato in the sump. The pods will love that.
