Toadstool leather shedding issue???

I placed my toadstool leather into my tank about three days ago. It was opening and looking good, but since yesterday it seems to have started a shed. The stuff it shedded is hanging from it. How long will this stuff remain attached to it and should I remove it myself?

I am in the same boat, except the coral was already sulking at the LFS. It's day 4 and still the same. It tried to extend the polyps a couple of times but retracted soon. I tried changing the flow, lighting etc (except its position). How much time should I wait before I start to get worried? It's green in color and I see a few tiny "heads" sticking out but thats it.

Usually they'll open back up in a few days, but it isn't unusual for them to stay closed for weeks during a shed. I'd stop moving it all over the place. Just let it be as long as it is just a shed (and not decaying or anything).

every time you move it or change things, it's going to sulk. leave everything alone for a while and it will probably come to life. I have different leathers and they all do it from time to time.
