toadstool placement??

i just traded some frags yesterday and got a green toadstool leather, i didn't see it in his tank and never had one before so i'm not shure about light and flow requierments, it's in a prety high flow area on the bottom but still geting prety strong light but hasn't extended any polyps yet. i know he only had 4x55 watt t5's over his tank and i have 1 250w halide+1 96watinic and 22 3w led's so i may need to find it a shady spot for a while but i'm not shure. any advise?

Leathers can be weird. Sometimes they go for days or weeks without opening, then they shed a layer of "skin" and open bigger and better than ever. Leathers can be very near bulletproof. Only time I have had issues with them is if detritus is able to build up on them. That will rot it out

As for placement, you original question, any place will more then likely be fine IMO.
