Toadstool white spot growing

About 1-1/2 months ago I bought a decent sized toadstool, but it had some white spots on it. It now appears to be growing and I've dipped it twice in Coral Rx. I also fragged a corner of it too.
Can anyone help ID what this is? Or what it's doing to my toadstool?

Likely just self propagation. Leathers love to drop piees of themselve to spread the love around;).

I've had similar necrotic tissue in toadstools recently. I've used a siphon tube to scrape and siphon out the white tissue. The hole should grow back in fairly quickly. Check you system for anything that might be stressing the coral like a nearby stingy lps or maybe it's time for water/carbon change.

I hope so.:headwalls: I've kept it free and clear of anything that would sting it. Phosphate is out of whack, but I'm treating it with Lanthium today (Brightwell Phosphat-E).

Hello,

gflat65 is right that self propagation looks similar to this, but more on the edges of the coral.
In this case I would rather believe that some detritus on the coral caused this.
Good water movement for the coral is needed in order to avoid that detritus is settling down on the corals lower inner parts.

regards

Markus
