Too much light?

Will 440 watts VHO (2 Aquasun, 1 50/50 and 1 True Actinic bulb) over a 120 (48x24x24) be too much light for Rhodactus?

Everything I have read says low to moderate lighting. Is low/moderate VHO and high metal halide?

I classify 4 VHO bulbs over a 120 as low light.

But position within a tank has as much of an influence over light intencity reaching a coral as type of lighting. Something near the top of your tank in direct light is brighter than something in the bottom or in partial shade in my tank. (75 with 2x250W halides)

To answer your main question: Rhodactus will do fine (light wise) anywhere in your tank.

ID start them off on the bottom the slowly move them up..better safe than sorry..
