I know that my new peacock cant hang with 1000w of MH glory... but, would a 175w mh be to much for him on a 75 (48/18/21) ? otherwise its T5's and all the star polyps you can shake a stick at...
175 is still too much i think, peacocks arent found usually at depths shallower then 20-30 feet from my understanding with most being at/around/below 40 feet so i think its too much, i only use a 15W T8 50/50 bulb and it lights up the tank perfectly and im growing polyps pretty easily in the tank
iv been doing some reading on corals and t5s... i see some people say that the t5s compare to the the halides very well... 2 or 3 t5s isnt going to be just as bad for my peacock are they?
i used NO T5's over my peacock's 40 breeder and it grew polyps off of the rocks (i didnt put any frags in the tank and i grew some nice paly's from nothing
