Had plans for a BIG coral display, but the wife got pregnant and shut it down. My office is now a baby nursery

Brand new. Two (2) available. Comes with everything you need except the electrical wire. Never been wired, never been fired.

These ballasts will perfectly fire high-intensity discharge lamps (including specialty bulbs like a Radium or Ushio 14,000 Kelvin or 20,000 Kelvin metal halide light bulb) to manufacturer specifications. These can fire a high pressure sodium (HPS) or a metal halide (MH) lamp. Using these will get you a very accurate color temperature from your bulb. This setup would be ideal for coral tanks (aquariums) or for an indoor garden if you're wanting full spectrum lighting. They are designed to be operated on a 220-240 volt circuit at 60 Hz (220V, 230V, 240V). They come with ignitors, motor run capacitors, hospital grade NEMA plugs, and a hospital grade duplex receptacle (everything you need to light your bulbs except the wire). See details below. The ballasts are made in Slovenia, the ignitors were made in Austria, and the motor run capacitors were made in Italy. These are not Chinese junk products.

The special feature of these ignitors is that the ignition voltage is generated without placing a high-voltage load on the choke. This ensures maximum reliability. Minimal self-heating, which in turn gives luminaire designers extra creative freedom.

Capacitor info:
Comar MK 450 70 μF (mfd, microfarad) capacitors
Rated voltage: 450 Vac
Rated frequency: 50 / 60 Hz
Capacitance tolerance: ±5%
Operating class: 400V - B 10000h 450V - C - 3000h

Also includes 250V hospital grade NEMA plugs and a hospital grade duplex receptacle.

I paid $296 per ballast which included the ignitors. I separately paid for the Comar motor run capacitors (which I believe cost me $50-60 each). I also paid $17 each for the hospital grade NEMA plugs.
