Triton results, thou

Just got my first results on a new Red Sea Reefer 750 XXL we set up in this past December (2017).

Tank volume: 200 gallons
Decided to go with the ULM setup, using all of refugium area for cheatomorpha with LED grow lights. Reef Octopus Classic 202S skimmer.
Dosing BRS 2-part/RO/DI water mixes with a 3 channel dosing pump, Tunze ATO with BRS 5 stage RO/DI setup.

Only takeaway that really popped out to me was the low Ca. Been using a Red Sea CA test kit that regularly shows 430. Will need to adjust this for certain and then replace kit and re-monitor for changes.

Any thoughts on remaining levels? Triton has a few recommendations. Any worthy of securing recommended elements?

Sincerely,

David

That calcium level is fine as is, and I'm not completely sure which result is likely to be more accurate. I'd make any changes carefully. The rest of the test results seem fine as is. I wouldn't worry much about the trace elements. There are some accuracy issues with test them. There's some reading available if you're interested.

Sorry to butt in on this conversation, but I would love some reading if available. I am considering starting Triton and reading would be nice.

Johnathan, thanks for the feedback. Things have been rocking along in new system and I just wanted to keep ahead of any issues before they might create problems. My wife said I tend to overthink everything (ADD). its my first over 100 gallon system and so far things seem to be much easier to keep things stable.

jjenek,
More an welcome to "butt in". The more collectively we learn the farther forward our hobby can reach!

Couple of recent pics (pardon the Ecotech driver on the left wall, need to get a longer cable from Ecotech// they really should make these a option//):

If it aint broke...don't fix it? Nice tank :) Even if your Ca test is off, is it consistent? If so not worth tossing it.

thanks for that! I moved everything over from a smaller 90 and 60 in late December. Couple of small cycles with new sand but things are going well. Difference in growth with ATI fixture compared to older T5s I had is phenomenal. 2-part consumption has increased as well.

Understand on the Ca kit. Always found it and the Mg kits hard to color match. Was seriously considering a Hanna Ca checker since I have such good results with their Dkh tester.

Sincerely,

David
