Trochus/Nerite Macro Compatibility

Random Aquarist

I'd like to order some Nerite and Trochus snails to keep my acrylic clean and my rock clean, but I'm worried about them eating Turtle Weed and Red Sea Grapes (which I'll order from you). Do you guys keep snails in your macroalgae tanks, and if so, are they at all predatory towards the macroalgae?

Random Aquarist,

When adding any type of snails to your aquarium there is a chance that they will consume some plant life growing in the aquarium. Nerite and Trochus snails will naturally feed on algae, cyanobacteria, and diatoms on your live rock, substrate, and aquarium glass, and will only passively graze on plants, macroalgae, and nuisance algae (such as hair algae).
