Tunze 9004 dc skimmer wires damaged

Need urgent advise
My tunze skimmer running on my 50gallon tank has damages to wiring pic attached
There is no exposure yet to wires but I fear within a few days or month if ignored this can lead to accident
Is getting this repaired by an electrician a good idea or should I get a new skimmer
The current skimmer is 2 yrs old
Pls advise

If the person can repair it and make it water tight again, you should be fine. Or you can purchase the part new from tunze.

Personally I would opt for @ least a new pump.
