Tunze hiring in austin?

No, believe me, this is not the most lucrative distribution job in the world and I just can't afford any employees. It is just me and Dave and I do just about everything, Dave helps pack boxes and keep up with inventory.

bummer...

Is the reef thing very popular in austin? I visited alot of local shops and to be honest wasnt very impressed..

if i remember correctly, african cichlids have a huge stonghold on the fish market in most of texas.

Yup, african cichlids are the biggest part of the market, we live on a limestone aquifer so our water is perfect for those fish. Personally, I hate malawi cichlids. For saltwater you'll want to be their when they get their shipments, they get good stuff but the holding capacities are smaller than in more saltwater oriented areas and most of the regulars know when everything is coming in and it is gone the same day. Unfortunately Saltwater is not as profitable as freshwater and a much smaller part of the market, their are some good stores for south american and plant tanks though, I think that the stores in austin do that better than most. Plant tanks are actually my favorite area of aquarium keeping.

whoa, I didn't know that Tunze was located in Austin. I just moved to Austin earlier this year. Let me know if you need any help beta testing any new Tunze products.:D
