TUNZE question

I am in the process of ordering up all of my equipment for my new 150 (48 x 30 x 25 tall) in wall tank and I had a few questions in regards to TUNZE streams and wavebox. I plan on purchasing the Tunze TS24 Stream kit (2)6100/7095 and then possibly the TUNZE wavebox. My first question is is this overkill for flow. I am setting up an SPS dominated tank. So I think that it will work out well but I just wanted another opinion. Also what would be the best way to configure the streams and wavebox in the tank to give the most realistic current in the tank.

Thanks

If the tank will be barebottom or at least no DSB, this will work for sure.

Basically just put a Stream in each back corner aimed to front center and use the wavebox centered on one side. Set up the 7095 with a 6hr interval and run the wavebox with the Stream on it's side and then switch to the opposite Stream only.

I am going to go with a sandbed but not a DSB. Do you mention this because it will kick up alot of the sand?

That configuration sounds good though. I will set it up as you have recommended.

Thanks

have almost same set up as CS wants in a 180, why is it better to turn the wavebox off when the 6100 on the opposite side comes on?

It isn't necessarily better but it is more natural, the 6 hr interval is the same as the tidal intervals and at low tide the sea is more turbulent so you run the wavebox, the flow direction changes as well as water is rushing in at high tide and rushing out at low tide.
