Turbo snail, worth the trouble?

I have a nice big turbo snail that cruises around and eats constantly. The only problem is he eats one of my red macro algaes that I really like. I don't have any other algae eaters, aside from a coral beauty which grazes some off the live rocks. Would it be a big deal if I just put the turbo snail in the sump?

not a big deal at all. I always keep a few snails and crabs in there so I don't have to clean it. (but then I keep an urchin in each overflow also...) The only risk is clogging a skimmer pump, but it sounds like he's big enough not to worry.
