Two Much Lighting?

Hello I have a 135 Gallon tank, Ive had it set up for about 4 months now. Tank dimensions is 60Lx18.5Wx29H. I have two 400 watt metal halides with two 120watt Actinic VHO. Any help would be appreciated.:smurf:

Well first of all do you have problems with keeping the tank around 77-81 degrees? What kind of corals do you plan on keeping? What kelvin rating are the light bulbs? Those 400w halides are quite powerful.

No problem with temperature, chiller for that. I plan on doing mostly sps with some lps mix in. The kelvin is 14k

Your perfect for lighting then. Even 250w MH would be fine in that tank. Just make sure to keep the accros up high in the tank and any montis lower. montis may bleach being that close to the light. Accros seem to like more light than the montis. Other than that your set anything will grow under those lights.
