I got my typhoon III hooked up a couple weeks ago. I wasted the first 7 or so gallons. After that I was getting a tds reading of 1, so all was good.
I was going to do a 10 percent water change tonight, I had about 30 gallons of ro/di water made already, had been sitting for about a week. I decided to test the water for the heck of it, it was 200!
I was kind of baffled by this, so I dumped the water, cleaned the container with vinegar, dried it off real good and made more water. Its reading in the low 40's now. I read the manual, it said if you had not made water in 3+ days to turn certain valve certain way and run for a minute or 2, so I did this, put it back to ro/di water and same results, 40's. Got a clean 5 gallon bucket, had the typhoon put the water in there in case there was something wrong with my rubbermaid 50g container, same results, low 40's.
anyone have any ideas what might be wrong? I just started doing ro water only, same results, low 40's as well. my tap water is 160-170 btw.
