i had one that was brown at the lfs that was infested with redbugs. i treated the redbugs and the polyps turned bright green and it is turning purple and blue and growing very fast. no pic though sorry

I plan on doing the same lighting as you except VHO actinics for the 420 Nm.

I would love to see pictures of the interior of your hood.

When I built my hood I had PCs already so I used them, but I rather have VHOs or T5s, anyway here you go Arconom.......the 460s are in the back(left side in pic) and the 420s are in the front

The color shift on mine were mostly due to upgrading from a single reflector over 6 T5s to individual reflectors. Huge HUGE difference! As you can see they have grown substantially as well.

OH WATERFALL... What is that coral and where did you get it??? That is one nice looking piece you got there.. I'm in Tampa btw... ;)

It is a Hoeksami. I have it midway in a 75 gal w/ 250 10 K Ushio's{440 wts of actinic VHO} it is near the center of the tank. I attribute the color to simply the fact that most delicate and Blue, purple type sps corals tend to lose alot of their color w/ shipping....and spot on parameters;). I got it and this Plana from Atlantis. It has intensified in color too. Will take a new pic of it today.
