velocity T1, T2, T3

Love them clownfish.
currently im running a T4 pump, and i definetely noticed a degree or two addition on my 120 gallon system. but soon ill be breaking it down into two tanks: a 50 cube and a 45 cube.

if i ran say, a T1 or a T2 on each tank, would i be looking at the same heat output as a T4, and how big of a problem would it be in a system sharing a common 30 gallon sump and 75 gallon refugium?

If it's sharing a filter why not use the T4 & T it off to each tank?

I would think using a T1/2 x 2 would equal at least twice the temp increase that a single T4 does.

I have a T1 and a T4 both on the same system. T1 is the return pump and T4 is the skimmer pump.

I just put my hand on each of them for you. I know its not the best comparison method :D but the T4 is NOTICEABLY hotter than the T1. The T1 is warm, the T4 is hot.

However, I agree, if you do set it up to come from the same sump, then use the T4, "T" it off into both tanks and throttle back the rest with a "T" and a ball valve back into the sump and the fuge.
