venturi or Needlewheel skimmer

Ok I am looking at skimmers and need to know some pros and cons about these types of skimmer. I have no need for a becket skimmer at this time 60g system a 40g breeder and 25g sump that will run at about 20g or so. Thanks for your input

A needlewheel is a type of venturi. The air gets sucked in by the venturi and the needlewheel chops the air into fine bubbles. A needlewheel skimmer if more efficient. It uses a smaller pump (less electricity, heat, noise).

I realize that but it is different then a regular venturi skimmer. I was wonder what the pros and cons are.

No other difference. Traditional venturi skimmers are old school. Needlewheels are better in every way.
