VHO bulbs-- recommendations?

I just got an Icecap 660 ballast and URI endcaps for my 30 gallon reef. I had been planning on putting 4 36" VHO bulbs in the canopy to replace the 4 36" NO currently there. Unfortunately the URI encaps cause the bulbs to be too long for the canopy.
Would 4 24" bulbs do almost as well? I have some Euphyllia corals, closed and open brains, that would like more light. If I opt for the 4 24", would it be a good idea to stagger the bulbs (one to the left, one to the right, left, right) or just run them down the middle?
I also vaguely remember reading somewhere that 34" VHO bulbs exist. Anyone know where I can get such bulbs?

Hi Ophidia,

URI VHO bulbs are great. I don't know if they make 34" bulbs, but I was able to get 46.5" for my 48" long tank. I bet they do make 34's. If you do end up having to get 24's I would stagger them.
