Vinegar bath question

Hello everyone,

I plan on giving my tank and plumbing a vinegar bath after I break it down this weekend to get rid of the coraline growth and stuff. My question is how do I neutralize the vinegar after the bath? Will Amquel do it?

Also, how many parts of vinegar do I use in diluting it with water?

Many thanks in advace.

I use a 40-50% vinegar/water mix & it works well for me...........

After the vinegar bath, I fill whatever I'm cleaning w/ water & add some baking soda.....................not only neutralizes the vinegar, but takes away the smell as well..

As long as you can, a few hours to a few days would be good.
24 hours is just about right most of the time to do a good job.
