Visio vs Leemar tank!

I am just about ordering a custom tank, I need your informations before I can decide. Any bad/good experiences with either one will be greatly appreciated. BTW, it will be a glass tank.

I've had my visio tank for years and like it. I think they are cheaper than Lemar. If I had it to do again I'd go starfire and Eurobraced.

I have a LeeMar, but have never had a Visio so I can't really compare. I do like the beveled edges on the LeeMar, and having three sides of starphire is a huge plus!

leemar is better in general as far as quality but you will pay for it..like anything else in the hobby.

I would not recommend a Visio tank. I know someone who got one and the bottom cracked 2 months after it was set up. Was done by a professional service with custom made equipment by an aquarium company.

What's more, is the store he bought it through also had a Visio reef....it cracked too and had to be replaced. Many of their customers (a lot!) have had their tanks (Visio) crack.

My friend had $40,000 of damage to his home from his cracked tank.....fortunately has awesome insurance.

would definitely recommend Lee Mar. If you put a visio tank next to Lee Mar, the differences are immediately noticeable. Heck, the Lee Mar is even heavier.

I have a custom lee mar and it's been set up for 2 years without any problems. Nice thick glass.

Good sources! I will lean toward to Leemar at this time.

For Visio, what happens if the tank gets cracked, do they replace new one? how about their customer service? any input?

You cant compare the two, they are in totaly differnt ball parks price and quality. I owned almost every manufactured tank except for Elos which i am considering and lee mar i have been the happiest with reguardless of price. I wish they were cheaper but they are not.

Those Elos tanks. Do they have any bracing at all? I was looking at their pics and I don't see any bracing.

I believe they offered to replace the tank. Heh, tank was cheapest part of the whole disaster.
