Shawn,

Unfortunately our reef related aquarium stores have all closed. Kind of a bummer for us up here but we have a good club.

We still have plenty of good restaurants and sites to see.

Places to eat:
Cafe Ole - Awesome handmade Mexican
Buster's - Continental Cuisine
Oregano's - Italian but upbeat and creative
Mama Luisa - Traditional Italian
Bigfoot BBQ - Good with a PBR
Pasto - Italian
Beaver Street Brewery - Good food, great brews
Lumberyard - Owned by Beaver Street but a different menu
Crystal Creek Sandwich Co. - Good subs
Cottage Place - Great but Pricey
Josephines - Ditto, but I like The Cottage Place better.
Brix - Good and but again its pricey - Good wine and cheese plates
Martans - Incredible Mexican breakfast and kitschy unique place
La Bellavia - Great Breakfast
Mike and Rhondas AKA The Place - good but regular breakfast
Karma Sushu - Awesome
Dara Thai - Great stuff
Taverna - Good Greek
Fratelli - Pizza
Strombollis - Pizza
Burritos Fiesta, Ralbertos, Tacos Los Altos - Good Hole in the Wall Mexican.

Plus many others of restaurants. Those are just some of the ones I like.

Attractions:
Wupatki National Monument - Indian Pueblos, high desert terrain with view of the painted desert
Walnut Canyon National Monument - Cliff Dwellings and a nice little canyon
Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument - Volcano, lava flows and cinder fields
Museum of Northern Arizona - Navajo, Hopi and their ancestral artifacts, fossils etc.
Arboretum at Flagstaff - High elevation gardens
Lowell Observatory - where they found Pluto
Arizona Snowbowl - Ride the ski lift up above treeline to about 10000 feet or so.
Sedona - town about 27 miles south. Drive 89A through Oak Creek Canyon to get there. Incredible drive to an incredibly scenic place. Lots of great hiking trails, shopping, food etc.
Grand Canyon of course. 74 miles north.

I know I'm missing tons of stuff. But that's what comes to mind right now.

There's lots of stuff going on downtown in the summer. Usually dancing, free live music, or free outdoor movies at Heritage Square or in Wheeler Park near City Hall. The First Friday Art Walk downtown is a blast every month.

Pick up a free magazine called Flag Live when you get here. It comes out new each Thursday and lists everything going on.

Send me a message if you have any questions or need recommendations on hiking trails or anything else.

Or you could just go to Chili's and see a movie! Ha!
