Volitan Lionfish Odd Behavior.

Hello everyone, my Volitan Lionfish has been doing great but he seem to be exhibiting some odd behavior which I don't believe is isolated just to because my friend in another state and time zone which has a similar aged volitan is doing the exact same thing. They are not eating and just laying very letheragic on the bottom of the tank. However, if you try to move something past them with say a feeding stick they are very alert. Should I worry? Does anyone have any ideas of what is going on?

what size tank is it in? I have seen them do that during a prolonged stay at a LFS where they are stuffed into a tank that iw way tooo small for them.

What have you been feeding the lion?
Are you soaking your foods in any type of vitamins?
What else is in the tank with your lion?

sorry to hear that, did it have milky eyes before it died? I have noticed several lions while at the LFS developed milky eyes and only lasted about a week after that. I want to say some sort of malnutrition was the culprit.

Unfortunately the only physical sign of any issues with the Volitan Lionfish was Rapid Respiration. No milky eyes, deteriation of fins or webbing. Also lethargic behavior. :-(
