wanna take a poll on halides for those of you using them out there

I am currently considering changing brand of halide bulbs and need your help

Currently running 400 watt radiums. great color of course

considering changing to a better growth bulb (lower kelvins)

I also have LEDs for actinics and T-5s but don't use anymore (all built into my canopy)

So suggestions please. What are you running and why. do you see better growth with lower kelvin bulbs.

I get the best growth from Radiums lol. And the 400w bulbs are the gold standard.

Don't ask me, I use all el cheapo Plusrites.

With a 180 gallon 400w is not needed. I used 3 x 250w Radiums for years on my 300DD with several birdsnest growing in the far bottom corner of the tank. After receiving a couple of Radium lamps that where not up to PAR, I switched two lamps to Phoenix 250w 14K. Looking at my tank no one has been able to pick which lamp is different? Radiums are called 20K but are far from true 20K color. If the Phoenix last 16 to 24 months like my Radiums have then I will stay with them, if not then I will switch back to radium and hopefully no more issues. FYIW I change my lamps when they drop 10%
