wanted: used/cheap 400w mh bulbs

i currently have an ebay 250w. im not all that impressed with it, my corals all act like they want more light and from what i understand 250w is a ****ton for a 55g. so im thinking the bulbs i have have a real low par rating or something. ill stop in your shop tomorrow and talk to you a lil about it, id like to see if u have any reflectors sittin around there too. maybe an overflow or two.

nope wont be there tommorow. Try coralvue's 20ks that is what i was running on the 75 in the front and my corals loved it.
 
he is only open tuesday through friday from 12 to 5. Kinda sucks if you work all day. I run over to his place on my lunch.
 
Matt is closed for good. You have to make an appointment, and I don't think there's anything left anyway. It's a sad sight:(
 
well, guess he was able to sell everything in time. Very sad, where do we go now? I stopped by pet wharehouse and the coral looked very sad. There fish didn't look any better. I guess it will be pick and choose.
 
I myself have made a personal decision not to set foot in the "other" store again. The last time I was in there, I mentioned the frag swap, and tried to invite the owner, and he got very rude and short with me. He said "I think im busy that day" before I even told him when it was. I figured it would be a good chance for him to see what exactly it is people want in this area as far as corals go. But apparantly, he does not care. I am also tired of him telling me that something is reef safe, or is a good product, and selling it to me... only to find out its not reef safe, or it is a peice of junk.. like the skilter 250 he sold me for a 55g, or the sea-clone he sold me when I needed a better skimmer. These are just two of the examples. The only thing he cares about is a profit,... Not customer satisfaction. The owner is a very smart guy when it comes to saltwater,.. he just doesnt care anymore. At least when you go to Pet Warehouse, you know they are full of it, and dont listen to what they have to say, But when you KNOW someone KNOWS what is what, but they choose to put a dollar before satisfaction, I have no interest in giving them my money. All my future purchases by me will either be at PW, Internet, or wait it out for another LFS.
