Where should i direct my water flows coming from my refugium? I have a 135 gallon tank and right now jsut fish and live rock some snails and crabs and a oyster....i was jsut wondering how i should create the flow so that it cleans and filters the water the best.
Make sure they are directed in a way that you do not have to many dead spots in your tank. If you are using them in addition to powerheads then point them in a way to cause a water disturbance that doesn't necessarily flow only in one direction. I have my power heads shooting water at each other and then the return water flow hitting it which cause the flow to go everywhere. This is just what I have learned with saltwater. They like to have water flowing every which way just like in the wild.
