Roger,
I am having a problem with the controler. The photo cell does not seem to be responding. Checked connection and when i pluged it back in the red and green cycle lights stopped flashing. It appeared to still be cycling and the lights remained on, both red and green. The red light did appear to flash slightly brighter and dimmer. Have had unit since Feb.,other than that, product works great!

Thanks for any help you can give,

Todd

I could only say double check the connection, that the correct master cable is firmly connected, that no slat or water has entered the socket for the photocell or the driver of the pump. It only takes one grain of salt to cause a short. Try blasting the sockets with some can o air. Try redoing all connections with the pump unplugged from the wall and after a minute plug it back in. If this doesn't work it will have to be sent in. It would be very unusual for it to stop working after this much time.

Roger,
Tried your suggestions, no luck. Looked inside of control box found some salt creep. Guessing this was the problem. No more touching feed button with wet hands! Ordered another wavebox unit to see if i could increase size of wave in 8 foot tank. Will use that controller for both. Valuable lesson learned!

Thanks for the reply,

Todd.

You might try just cleaning it with contact cleaner, past experience with feedbutton shorts is they are generally just superficial trails of salt shorting the switch on and can be cleaned up. Sometimes it is necessary to replace the button but this simple momentary switch can be had at any Radio Shack.

By the way, their is a contact cleaner they sell at really good electronic stores (read not Radio Shack) that comes in a blue and white can, it is mainly ether and it leaves no residue like the cheap stuff which can do more harm then good. The nozzle is adjustable from L-H flue and it is a standard size aerosol can. I am out so I can't tell you the brand name- I buy it at Fry's.
