Wavebox questions

Hi,
The supplied brackets won't work for me. I've seen that you recommend a magnet and suction cups. Do you know who sells them? I can't seem to locate. If not do you think one mag, and one suction cup will suffice? Also any tuning tips? I am not exactly sure what to be looking for. My tank is 72x18x23 and very open. Thanks

If I am not mistaken Tunze sells magnets for the turbelles. This magnet might work with the wave box.Try asking the dealer who sold you the unit.I know J&L Aquatics sells the tunze magnets(Canada)Maybe try Marine Depot they carry Tunze.Call them and ask. There are 2 diff magnets that goes with thickness of tank.

Exactly, on tanks with plastic trim the magnet sits up partially on the trim and it doesn't look good, if you have a cap, it won't work at all. If you use the sups at the top and the magnet holder at the bottom it is stable and while the cups aren't prefect and eventually they come loose and the box wobbles, they are cheap and a pack of 4 should last a year or more.

do you know where to find those bad boys?

Actually, I have a 180 gal AGA with overflows and trim. Setup is as follows with magnet or suction cup:
1. Attach suction cup or magnet to bottom of Wavebox
2. The top of the wavebox should be above the rim slightly with the wavebox top back against the rim. In the 180 AGA this is a perfect fit!

*Suction cup does not work nearly as well as magnet.

Tuning is a cinch. Just dial it up ever so slightly waiting 10-15 seconds untill you see everything rocking! Took me like 10 minutes from opening the box to getting the whole thing up and running. However, I do have some concerns about the tank stand and the water motion. See my other post.

Yeah I saw that, I've pretty much read everypost with the word wavebox in it over the last day. If my stand rocks I have bigger problems that the wavebox. It's made from 6x4 legs, 2x8's and the front is tied to the wall. I also have the bottom secured into the concrete with 3" nails!
