Any one else get these?

I just got the dang text at 12:15 AM and it woke me up...

even if do not call list does not apply to text dont other laws?

thought it was illegal to solicit after 8 pm?

thought any company using a IP system had to provide company info as well as a way to be removed from a list PER CANSPAM AND ICAAN

has any one ever been able to find out who these people are?
the numbers they list are disposable cell phones that they hang on to for about a week.. i know this from calling the number multiple times to tie up her line ( same person picked up each time and a reverse look up shows metropcs) I really bugged this lady but she deserved it esp after it started as a nice call to be removed from the list and she hung up...
after i got home i put her phone number into my fax machine and set to unlimited redial attempts and let it have fun with the number..

This number from tonight i just sent a mass email to.. several thousand emails to the phonenumber@mymetropcs.com this converts email to text and will flood their phone back with 1000s of " STOP TEXTING US GIVE US A WAY TO OPT OUT"

///end tired rant

I get that same one. I reply "no" back, but they still keep texting both my wife and I. Thanks for trying to put a stop to it

It's the new spam
People are taking phone #'s from Craigslist and forums like this
One mine started as we buy cars but lately
I've gotten congrats youve won best gift cards
Call hot sexy girls and buy cheap insurance.

gonna call today and make them go on a wild goose chase for a non existant car..

I've done this, guy calls me every once in a while from different numbers to express his anger to my voicemail. I will call back every once in a while and hang up when he picks up... then he just spams my phone for a while.

I get about 3 of those texts a month and so does my wife. I have replied "no" a billion times but I get the same thing again the following month. It is beyond annoying.

i get them about once a day between my work phone and personal.. and always late at night..

FYI google numbers are your friend when messing with people like these...

I don't know if it has any effect, but I reply to the text with "I am on the national do not call/text registry, and will be filing an official complaint with request for compensation." On two occasions I actually did do the online complaint form. Not sure if it is helping, but I have not gotten one in a month or so.

they dont care.. called them and asked to be taken off she just cursed and hung up.. thats kinda what started all this

I've got them like 3 times. Luckily in the middle of the day. I usually add to blacklist on my phoen so dont get them again until they change phones.

I once called metropcs and complained (callign metropcs is worthless), I told them about someone spammign ont heir netwrok against their AUP, etc, and they claimed no it wasn't, they are perfectly allowed to, i was like really, they finally said they'd transfer me to a manager and hugn up on me. I'd never do business with metropcs based on that alone.

I've called the person too, its always a lady, and she hangs up on me as well. I wanna know who the hell is selling to them! lol

P.S. This is the *only* text spam I have every received, uggg.

Wow, I get the same ones! Really annoying. Fortunately its only a couple of times/month for me. Someone needs to nuke this lady, LOL!

the only way to get them to stop is like u said, send them on wild goose chases, if they are based out of homestead, send them to ft lauderdale, when they get there and they call u asking where u are, u tell them u sent the wrong address and u send them somewhere else, when they get to the other spot u tell them ur just up the street make a right then the first left, lol, and u basically keep playing this game as long as possible

An article on this very group:

At least they are starting to get some negative press. It would seem that this person or persons would be ideal marks for some ambush journalism. You know the type of story, the camera in their face as the try to walk away, the hostile questions, the moral outrage. This seems perfect for an intrepid reporter, particularly since you have an almost universally hated target.

Haven't gotten that one, but I've gotten the occasional phishing for bank info texts :uzi:

Funny, i got that exact text last night. Not quite as late as you did. Still, I dont get that one that often.

What is making me wanna throw my phone away and go off the grid......Tom, from Home Protection Services......anyone get him? Its one of these "smart" recordings where it waits for your answer and tries to tailor the automated message to your responses. Took me a few times to figure that out. Some days I get this one 3 times a day, and sometimes in a 1-2 hr span.

Lol me and my wife both get them. I ignore it, only get them about once a month or so but still annoying
