Web Shooters/Slingers????

OK for the past couple off weeks i have been watching my LOBO and it never quite opens all the way anymore. It has been in the tank for 6 months and until now i havnt had any problems with it. All my other corals are great, and my water is ideal. The other day some friends form a LFS stopped by and checked out my tank too see if they could come up with an idea of whats happening. The guys said i have Web Shooters/ Slingers throughout my tank and this could be having an adverse effect on my lobo. Soo armed with a knife and some tweezers i have been killing every one that i can find. Is there another way to get rid of these pests? HELP!

If we you are talking about vermetid snails, then the only means is manual removal.

Thanks for the info lvreefer, but i failed to give a description of what they look like.. these are like fether duster tubes only hard. The worms in the tube excrete a web. im finding them everywhere. mabe that will help some people.. .. any info is helpfull Thanks

lvreefer is right it sounds like you have vermetid snails. I have several in my little 30g and I see the left over 'webs' all the time. They haven't caused me any trouble yet but as far as I know the only way to get rid of them is take them out by hand. Do a google search on vermetid snails and you should find some pics and info.
