Not really. 90% of my stock list came from trades.

Initially, I had to spend the bucks for a couple of pieces. Just buy from the right people, than start trading with the right people (also helps to be in CA).

Unfortunately, Aquascene is no longer in business. I never had the pleasure of shopping there in its heydey, as it appeared to be the Bay Area's mecca for high-end corals.

You may want to check with AtlantisAquarium.net if they're still distributing it. I know that Ming was able to get a frag from James (Aquascene) and actually got it to turn nearly all blue. There's maybe a handful of hobbyists in Northern California that got a piece from James, but you'll probably have better luck with ATL.
